Message to our Members 3/11/2020

In recent weeks, outbreaks of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic have become a public health concern. DNCU will always take the appropriate and proactive steps to help our employees, our members, and our communities.

According to The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the immediate risk of being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 continues to be low. We know that the virus spreads much like the flu does. In an effort to curb the spread of germs, all of our locations are cleaned regularly and are disinfected with approved cleaners.

In accordance with The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), we are asking our employees and members to practice caution when in public places and follow the basic practices below:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean your work-spaces or other high-traffic areas in your home and office.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Additional steps that Del Norte Credit Union is taking

We are closely monitoring local and national updates as well as guidance from The Center for Disease Control (CDC). We have communicated with our employees and given them an update on our sick-leave policy and encourage them to stay home if they are feeling sick. We will continue to monitor and update employees and members as appropriate via website and social media.

We are encouraging our members to follow similar guidelines and remember to use Online or Mobile Banking or drive-thru services when appropriate. Our digital services include full online banking, bill pay, and remote deposit capture for check deposits.

We are also part of a large CO-OP network of ATMs throughout the state and country. Please visit our website at dncu.org for further details, locations, and resources.
