Chihuahuan Desert Landscapes by David Loren Bass @ De Vargas Branch
DNCU's De Vargas branch welcomes the work of David Bass. David Bass conveys live experience through his paintings. He paints them directly on site and then continues to paint his subjects until they are transformed from reality to beautiful landscapes. His paintings feature strong but delicate composition, high-definition colors, and a balance of lights and darks with subtle movement. Bass currently has collections in Maitland Art Center, Maitland, Fl.; Mint Museum, Charlotte, N.C.; Weatherspoon Art Gallery, Department of State, Washington, D.C.; plus many other locations. He was born in Arkansas near Conway in 1943. Visit davidlorenbass.com for a full list of exhibitions and more information on the artist.
