Branch Exhibitions

New exhibitions up in June 2017! Please stop by and see.

Art Meets Science by Sandra Duran Wilson @ White Rock Branch
Sandra Duran Wilson painting

Sandra Duran Wilson comes from a family of artists and scientists. She mixes the senses in her mind to create her abstract work. Her work is influenced by physics, chemistry and biology. She recently completed a piece for the Santa Fe Opera based on their world premiere of The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs for the 2017 season. This connection made her work a perfect match for our White Rock branch. We welcome her stunning scientific and multi-media work. The mixed media work represents a beautiful blending of sounds, nature and science. She is also a published author and experiments, paints, writes and teaches at her studio in Santa Fe, NM. Visit for more information on the artist.

Chihuahuan Desert Landscapes by David Loren Bass @ De Vargas Branch
DNCU's De Vargas branch welcomes the work of David Bass. David Bass conveys live experience through his paintings. He paints them directly on site and then continues to paint his subjects until they are transformed from reality to beautiful landscapes. His paintings feature strong but delicate composition, high-definition colors, and a balance of lights and darks with subtle movement. Bass currently has collections in Maitland Art Center, Maitland, Fl.; Mint Museum, Charlotte, N.C.; Weatherspoon Art Gallery, Department of State, Washington, D.C.; plus many other locations. He was born in Arkansas near Conway in 1943. Visit for a full list of exhibitions and more information on the artist.
